I feel like this is a very fitting first point considering I've posted, what, twice in September? Ridiculous right?! I just felt as though I wasn't enjoying blogging, wasn't enjoying photography, so I just stopped. Thankfully my need to get posts out and feel accomplished came back and I'm back in the blogging game. I've also ordered some studio lights so I can take photos when I'm most motivated to - which is always at midnight. Always.

This is more of a 'Why I'm a Bad Beauty Blogger' point than a general blogger, but let's be real, I'm not a general blogger. My niche is very much beauty and no matter how hard I try, I just cannot blog about lifestyle. ANYWAY, back to my original point. I can't do winged eyeliner. Can't do it, refuse to do it, it takes about half an hour and looks like I've scribbled my eyes in with sharpie ANYWAY so f*ck that.

For the amount of eyeshadow palettes I have, my everyday 'neutral brown' look just isn't cutting it. If I'm feeling particularly wild I will do a basic orangey eye but that is literally it. I so wish I could do eyeshadow well and do these amazing pink or blue or green eyeshadow looks but my talent pretty much stops at blend darker colour into the outside bit. What even IS a cut crease and how do you magicians do it?

I'm sorry. I can hear you all screaming at me. Right now, I haven't washed my brushes in well over a month. I'm not gonna lie, more than a little bit ashamed. It desperately needs done but I just can't be bothered. Thankfully, the lovely people at DEE&CO sent me their Shadow Switch dry makeup brush cleaner and I have never been so grateful to try out a product.

Basically, you take your dirty eyeshadow brushes and swirl them around on the little black spongey bit and it removes all the eyeshadow, so you can switch colours! It's a must-have for lazy girls like me. It retails at £5.99 on Amazon HERE (which is an amazing price) and it's quickly becoming a staple in my makeup routine. Now just to find the lazy way to wash foundation brushes.

So I say 'MOST' because there are some that I wear everyday and don't turn my lips into a bumhole, but whenever I try to broaden my matte liquid lipstick horizons I end up bitterly disappointed?! The Violet Voss liquid lipstick was probably the worst, I had quite high expectations but it honestly felt like my lips were about to fall off. I'm currently trying the Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipstick in Ruby Slipper, which is slightly better but I'm finding it so patchy. I think I may have to stick to my Nyx Soft Mattes in the future.

Please reassure me and tell me I'm not the only one who feelsl like a crap blogger!

I was nominated by the ever so lovely MARIA to do the Versatile Blogger Award! Seeing as my boyfriend currently has my camera for his uni work and I was really in a blogging mood, this came around at a good time.

         THE RULES
  • Give a shoutout to the blogger who nominated you
  • Link them
  • Post 7 facts about yourself
  • Nominate 10-15 more bloggers for the award!

Huge thank you to the angel herself (you can find her blog HERE) for nominating me. Hands down one of my favourite blogs ever, so you have to go give her a read!

  • I am obsessed with true crime documentaries/crime tv shows - love me a good murder. Well, not good. Interesting. Sometimes I think I'd be good at criminology but in reality I don't think I would be!
  • I'm extremely bad with money, my paycheck is spent within about a week of me being given it and I always leave myself with next to nothing. Currently have £3 and I'm running low on petrol. Let's all pray for me.
  • I'm the worst at organisation, I really really try but it just doesn't work. I have multiple cute blackboards hanging up in my room to try and make me be more organised but I'm too lazy to wipe off whatever I write on it. LIFE.
  • I love to read but I struggle to find time to. I'm also a rereader, I love to reread my favourite books which I know some people might find weird (my mum sure does). To each their own!
  • I'm a hugely sentimental person and struggle to throw anything out. Over the years I've kept cinema tickets, boarding passes, concert tickets and even a notebook from the hotel I stayed in with my boyfriend for my 18th birthday.
  • I will always choose Dr Pepper over water. Which is quite bad, I really need to drink more water because I just don't!
  • It's my absolute dream to travel the world with my other half but given how dire my savings account looks right now, it's most likely not an option.

Sorry for my lack of posts for the past week - I took a week off blogging because I just wasn't enjoying it. But I'm back now and rady to get right into it.

The lovely people over at skinChemists sent me some of their products to review so that's exactly what I'm gonna do for you today!

The bits I was sent are from their Caviar range - and I'd like to start off by saying that they smell heavenly. I couldn't figure out what it was, but my boyfriend kindly enlightened me by telling me they're peach scented. Yes he also used them, he loves to take part in my rigorous skincare routine. I was sent the Caviar Duo Moisturiser and the the Caviar Facial Serum, I've been trying them both out for quite a while now! I really love the packaging - it's really unique and it looks gorgeous in my little skincare basket!

So the moisturiser started off as being amazing - it left my face a teensy bit tight around my temples but I just slick another moisturiser on after and that disappears. After a few weeks using it, it started to go all weird and bit-y, if that makes any sense at all..As in it would disperse and ball up on my face while I was rubbing it in. That's gone now, so I'm not sure what was going on! I still use this twice daily and I just can't get enough, it smells too good.

I've never been one to bother about serums, they all seem too expensive and I have no idea what I need, so I was super thankful to be sent one. My makeup goes on so much smoother when I use this, and it makes my skin look flawless. It has the same peach scent as the moisturiser which I, of course, love, so I pretty much smear as much of this on my face as I can. I'm actualy dreading when this runs out, I feel like my skin will go back to being lacklustre and dull!

I hope you enjoyed this little post to get me back into the swing of blogging again! Hopefully you'll be reading a lot more from me in the next week or so!

So I dunno if you remember the very first Italy in Pictures post that I did AGES ago (which can be found HERE) but I've decided to finally post the second installment of photos. Only 3 months too late.

Verona was one place I was desperate to visit - mainly to see Juliet's house. I think this was my favourite place from the whole trip - and not just because of the Sephora and Brandy Melville...

(Romeo's house ^^ , which took us far too long to find)

Have you ever been to Verona?

This post should really be titled 'Things I've Been Loving but Forgot to Put in my Favourites'. Because that's essentially what it is. I realise I could just put them in my September Favourites, but where's the fun in that?!

I'm constantly trying out and loving so many new things - I honestly just cannot and will not stop spending money until I die. Which may be sooner than planned because I currently can't afford food. YAY. So here's some things I've been trying out over the past few months and have been loving!

I'd heard good reviews about these drops and had been meaning to pick some up for a very long time but never got round to it. These £10 lightening drops have actually saved me SO MUCH money. The NARS foundations I bought in Italy became too dark for me after my tan faded - but instead of having to fork out another £30 for a lighter foundation, I can just use these!

They don't change the formula of the foundation at all - it literally just changes the shade. I cannot fault these handy little things! I think I've heard some people use the darkening drops to contour, which is GENIUS but I'm crap enough with powder contour, never mind a very gloopy liquid contour.

This was such an impulse buy. I was in Superdrug picking up some skincare, walked past the Revolution counter and thought "Yup, I'll have that!". To be honest, it was a Blog Buy. A purchase for the main intention of reviewing it on my blog. But actually, I really really love it. The powders are so easy to blend and come in a huge variety of shades - some for highlighting as well. And I'm pretty sure this was super duper cheap.

I love Revolution as a brand, you get some pretty high quality stuff for a very low price! I dont have the ABH contour kit or anything else to compare it to - but if you want to try out contouring and don't want to spend a fortune on a high-end kit, this is definitely a viable option!

If you follow me on Twitter you'll know I only got this a few days ago. But a few days is all it takes to fall in love with a palette. I've wanted the iconic 35O palette for months and months and months, so when I saw Beauty Bay tweet that they had the matte version in stock - I just had to snap it up. I don't actually own any fully matte palettes, most of them are shimmer with a few mattes, so I can tell I will be using this a LOT. I actually prefer matte finishes anyway, so I'm not sure why this is my first all matte palette.

The shadow pans are HUGE and amazing quality, there are no names so I've just swatched a couple of my favourite shades, and there is also no mirror, which is a bit annoying. But for the price of these (£19.50 I think) it is just incredible. This palette will 100% become a staple in my Autumnal makeup routine.

This will be another Autumn staple for me. These aren't new, I'm pretty sure they've been around for a few years or so, but I hadn't tried them before. I remember Zoella talking about this colour in one of her haul videos, so when I was browzing in Boots one day I decided to give it a try. It was only £5, so why not! It was a little weird at first, it's not like an eyeshadow or anything, it's like...a paste almost. That's probably definitely the wrong word.

It's incredily easy to use, I use my finger and smear it across my eyelid, use my finger to blend it out a little, pop some mascara on and I'm good to go! It's such a gorgeous colour as well, and it lasts all day. I think I'll definitely have to pick up a few more colours - for a quick and easy makeup look, these are essential.

So I think that's everything I've tried out and loved recently - I'll probably go to do my makeup and realise I've left out something. That's always the way. What products have you been loving recently?

So I've had this blog for just about 4 months now (which sounds like no time at all but I feel like I've been blogging since forever) and I've made so many blogger friends but it came to my attention that nobody really knows anything about me. I know what you're thinking, 18 facts is a strange number. It was originally gonna be 25 but I couldn't think of that many so let's pretend it was intentional!

If you've read my Liebster Award post, which can be found HERE, you might know a little bit about me - but we're all friends here so I think it's time for an official 'Facts About Me' post!

1. I was once featured in Shout Magazine reviewing mascara. CRINGE. I actually can't think about that whole ordeal without wanting the ground to swallow me up. I think that's where my blogger roots came from though. Thanks Shout!

2. I have applied & gotten into University twice - and both times decided not to go. Hows that for indecisive?

3. I left school in my second last year, I was 16 at the time and it was a scary decision but it was definitely the best choice for me!

4. I'm an incredibly broody person. I want ALL the babies. If you have a baby and you're near me, I will say hi to the baby before saying hi to you. Sorry.

5. My favourite feel good film is definitely Beauty & The Beast. Belle is my favourite Disney Princess - that's partly where my blog name comes from! My dad has called me Loulabelle since I was younger, I'm assuming the 'Belle' part came from my love of this film!

6. I've been with my boyfriend (Max) for 2 years in October and he is the most supportive person when it comes to my blog! Always willing to take my OOTDs for me and telling me he's proud of me. Melts my heart!

7. I'm a feminist and I'm kinda not really sorry to say that I will think less of you if you aren't a feminist. Who wouldn't want equal rights for both sexes?!

8. I was born on the 16th of October in 1997 - which makes me 18 years old as I'm writing this! Sounds so old yet so young.

9. I'm a Libra - and I really love reading horoscopes even though I almost never believe them. Almost never...

10. I'm really weird and rarely get thirsty. Like, if I don't have a bottle of water near me at all times, I'll most likely forget to drink. Which is BAD. Drink yo' water.

11. I'm probably the least organised person you'll know. I have various notebooks and blackboards and things to help me plan out my life/blog, but it doesn't work! I just go with the flow and so far it seems to work...

12. I'm a spender, not a saver. I'm trying to change that - but I currently have nothing to save for! All you successful spending ban people, tips would be appreciated!

13. I prefer savoury to sweet. Not a huge chocolate fan, so Easter is wasted on me, but I could probably eat all the crisps in the world. And then some more.

14. Elephants are my favourite animal - I could watch them do their thing all day. If I could have an elephant, I totally would. I almost wish they were puppy sized so I could have thousands of them. I also have a LOT of elephant jewellery.

15. Linking into my previous point, my dream is to go to Thailand to see some elephants. I've only ever really seen them at the zoo which SUCKS because they're so far away and not in their natural habitat. Also, Thailand just looks beautiful.

16. I am a huge musical fan. I've seen Wicked and would LOVE to see Les Mis and Phantom of the Opera - I've seen the films and love the soundtrack. Also Moulin Rouge.

17. I'm super duper sensitive - the slightest thing can make me extremely upset or angry. And then I'm literally fine about an hour later.

18. I usually struggle to stay positive but since starting a blog I have been like a whole new person - I'm really noticing the difference in myself! Huge thank you to anyone and everyone who supports my blog and comments or talks to me on Twitter, you help me a LOT.

So there's 18 facts about me! I tried to make them kinda interesting - I hope you enjoyed reading them! What are some facts about you?
