AUGUST GLOSSYBOX & GLASGOW MEETUP

I feel like when you're a blogger, you realise how quickly the year is going. Doing monthly posts like beauty box reviews or monthly favourites really makes you think about where the year is going.

Nice little deep revelation to start you off there. Today we have August's Glossybox review - and boy, is it a good one. This months box looks a little different, it's all fancy and grey and stuff now, and that's because Glossybox turns 5 this month! It's not because of the Olympics. Which I originally thought. Can you blame me though?! GB = Great Britain when it's Olympic time. Sorry Glossybox!

Enough rambling and onto the actual products now! First up we've got an MUA eyeshadow palette which retails at £4. I didn't think this palette would be that impressive - cheap palettes never are. But I was actually so impressed with this! I used it when it first arrived and was blown away by how well the shadows blend!? The mattes are definitely less pigmented than the shimmers -some of the lighter shades (rose ash) barely showed up when I swatched!

Next up is the Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask; I was super excited about this because I love me a face mask. I, again, used this when it first arrived and it's AMAZING. It retails at £53 so I can safely say I will not be repurchasing it, despite how amazing it is. You can literally see the dirt being lifted away and my makeup went on so nice after! I just had to spend 20 minutes taking selfies once I'd done my makeup, because why not. I don't think it's worth £53, there's definitely some cheaper alternatives that work just as well but it was a nice little treat to find in there!

This one excited me - the Spa To You Deep Pore Facial Cleansing Brush (RRP £6.99). I've never tried a cleansing brush before, I'm rather skeptical because I feel like dirt will build up in the bristles but I'll try it! It says you're to wet the brush and use it with your normal cleanser - I'll probably use it for my second cleanse with either my trusty Cleanse & Polish or my Camomile Cleansing Balm. It makes a nice alternative to a muslin cloth I guess!

Then we have the Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion (RRP £20). I'm not too keen on the smell of this, it's described as a blend of Lemongrass, Ginger and Rosemary, which sounds heavenly but I'm not sure it's for me. As far as the body lotion part goes - it's nice. It's hard to review a body lotion, they all make your skin smooth so that's really all there is to it! I probably wont use this little sample much - I'll pass it onto a family member.

Finally we have a little Rae Feather Mini Monogram Pochette (RRP £20) - it has a little GB on it (#teamGB). It's super cute, I love the pastels, and apparently Rae Feather is very popular amongst fashion bloggers and celebrities - so that's nice! The only thing I will say about this is that it's fabric, so I will ruin it very quickly. I couldn't really keep any makeup in it because that would be the equivalent of dropping it in a puddle (very dirty very quickly), so I'll probaly use it for
tampons and stuff.

So that's all that was in this months Glossybox, I was super chuffed with it! I'm really enjoying these boxes, I hope you're enjoying reading my reviews as much as I love writing them!

What did you think of August's Glossybox?

Also just a quick little announcement - myself and Allanah (find her here) have decided to organise a meetup for Scottish bloggers in Glasgow! It will be on the 3rd of December, I have a post going up about it later on today so keep an eye out!
